Review: Carnevale ale

Very nice phenols from the yeast gives a layer of cloves with the american hops coming through with hints of citrus/ornage. A very very nice Saison. I would reccomend to anyone.

Review: Aphrodite

Total: 42/50: Overall the beer is very fun and unique. The fruit characteristics of Aphrodite gives a slight impression of the lambic style but quickly fades to a complex, funky, and very interesting experience. This is a great beer to try if you are getting into wild yeasts or soured beers. I will definitely come back to this one.

Review: KingPin Double Red Ale

Total: 40/50: Overall the beer is a very interesting and a fun take on a style that we do not get to see many commercial example in stores. The use of rye adds a great underlying complexity that pairs well with the choice of hops. I would like to see the beer presented with less bittering hop additions and more hop presence in the nose so that the malt can be a little more forward.
